Collection is made every Tuesday. Trash cans should be put out before 7:00 am.
Collection is made every Thursday. All recyclable materials—bottles, cans, plastics (#s 1–7), mixed paper, and cardboard—should be set out in a single container and should be placed in the same location as your trash.
If Tuesday or Thursday is a city holiday, the collection will be the following Saturday.
Baltimore DPW offers free year-round recycling of consumer electronics such as DVD players, VCRs, computers and monitors, radios, and speakers. Electronics can be dropped off at any of the following locations and times:
Quarantine Road Sanitary Landfill, 6100 Quarantine Rd. — Monday–Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Northwest Transfer Station, 5030 Reisterstown Rd. — Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:00 pm
Western Sanitation Yard, 701 Reedbird Ave. — Monday–Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Eastern Sanitation Yard, 6101 Bowleys Ln. — Monday–Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Northwest Sanitation Yard, 2840 Sisson St. — Monday–Saturday 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Central District is swept on a weekly basis. Parking restriction signs should be followed within this district.
